She's a lil younger than me (score for me) so I definitely listened to Oasis during a different time in my life. I did the whole hanging out on Queen Street near Much Music bit too, but again, it was a different stage of my life. I'm a total child of the 80s. Michael Jackson and breakdancing were my thing in the early 80s with Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller bringing back some specific grade school memories I'll never lose. In the late 80s and early 90s hair metal was my thing. Songs from Poison, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, G'n'R, Aerosmith and the like are still my musical mainstay to this day and I live in the memories they conjure. I don't look or act like an 80s metal skid but that era is definitely in my soul and forever will be. "Here I Go Again (On My Own)" from Whitesnake is my anthem and "Sweet Child Of Mine" from G'n'R sends shivers through me when I hear that opening riff. I'm gonna go listen to it now.

Ohhh, and I taught her that fact about Airwalk/Nike. I would say any song from Nirvana's Nevermind album reminds me of those years. I remember the gas station shirts and baggy jeans! I can hear one song and think about my boyfriend from high school, another might bring back the awkward fun of middle school dances, and another remind me of hanging out with my best friend in college. <3 music memories!Beth Howardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15749887832193402765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7679266550883452053.post-70733328375989374302009-07-14T11:01:45.744-04:002009-07-14T11:01:45.744-04:00Omg I LOVED Champagne Supernova in high school!!Omg I LOVED Champagne Supernova in high school!!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07805950029078882515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7679266550883452053.post-84863248325978878942009-07-14T10:55:43.256-04:002009-07-14T10:55:43.256-04:00I'm a child of the 80's...though the much ...I'm a child of the 80's...though the much of the 60's & 70's is my heart-music! :o)Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09179096002434748927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7679266550883452053.post-11571290609786444802009-07-14T10:49:55.622-04:002009-07-14T10:49:55.622-04:00Oh my gosh - you are young!!
