in the moment monday

hullo! happy monday!

it really is a happy monday. the weekend was gorgeous, and this week is shaping up to be much of the same. really, it's not possible to get too much of this sunshiney stuff.

driving to the bus station this morning, i got to thinking about my life, and the lives of people around me. more specifically, about the way people rush and put pressure on themselves to get ahead, move to the next 'phase' of their life, to keep up with the pack. it's so unnecessary, yet we seem to do it constantly - often without really realizing it.

i was thinking about the impact that it has on our psyche, and so today's post will just feature one thing - this oh-so-insightful print. i keep going back to it every so often for a lil reminder - and judging from the overwhelming love and attention that her prints have received, it seems that others need that reminder too. and so, i'm passing it along to you.

here's wishing you a sweet + simple three beautiful things kind of day.

Perfect! It was beautiful here this weekend too, and is supposed to be this week as well. Hoping to spend as much time outside as possible, and I wish you the same!

I so agree with you. Are you getting the print. That one is my favourite, too. Funny, I just blogged about these prints too, last night. Have a lovely week.

That is a lovely print. Sometimes I get frustrated with my life - that'll help me out a little bit! Her stuff is so fun and colorful - perfect for a Monday. You must have a grand list of awesome things that you can just pull out for your blog every day!!

Love this print! It's so perfect!

Life gets so busy and packed, it's great to read something like that and think "Ok, yeah, I am here...and I dont' need to be anywhere else". It's also comforting thinking that there's a plan and Someone is looking out for me (:

Stop and smell the present. Great reminders to slow down and live for the moment. Happy Monday!

Yes! Ugh. I am all too familiar with the pressure to get to the next "phase." All of our friends have already started having babies, and for a while have been asking us, "when are you guys going to have kids?" It certainly doesn't help us to feel good about where we are right now and just enjoy the moment.
